Elsa Obrajero Montes is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). She served as a Deputy in the LIX Legislature of the Mexican Congress (2003–2006), representing the Federal District (Mexico City) as a replacement for Deputy Diana Rosalía Bernal Ladrón de Guevara.
Early life and education
Obrajero Montes was born in Mexico City, Mexico. She pursued studies in Political and Social Sciences, completing coursework toward a degree in Sociology (listed as a "pasante," or a student who has completed coursework but not yet graduated).
Career
Prior to her legislative work, Obrajero Montes worked as a professor at CONALEP (the National College of Technical Professional Education). She also served as Secretary of Organization of the Independent Union of Academic Workers of CONALEP (SINTA).
Legislative service
During the LIX Legislature, Obrajero Montes represented District 20 (Iztapalapa) in the Federal District, elected by relative majority. She served as an active member of two congressional commissions: the Commission for the Strengthening of Federalism and the Commission for Citizen Participation, both from April 18, 2006, to August 31, 2006.
