Elisabeth Pähtz (born March 5, 1985) is a German chess player who holds the titles of International Master (IM) and Woman Grandmaster (WGM). She is one of the most accomplished female chess players in Germany and has represented her country in numerous international competitions, including multiple editions of the Women's Chess Olympiad.
Pähtz won the World Youth Chess Championship in the girls' under-18 category in 2002. She has also claimed the German Women's Chess Championship multiple times. In 2022, she won the silver medal in the Women's World Blitz Championship, marking one of the most notable achievements by a German female player in a world championship event.
She is the daughter of German International Master Thomas Pähtz, who has also been her chess trainer. Elisabeth Pähtz is known for her comprehensive opening repertoire and strong performance in both classical and rapid/blitz formats.
