Elihu S. Williams (July 24, 1824 – December 1, 1904) was an American politician who served as a U.S. Representative from Ohio. A member of the Republican Party, he represented Ohio's 3rd congressional district for one term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Early Life and Education Williams was born in Piketon, Pike County, Ohio. He pursued preparatory studies and later studied law. He was admitted to the bar and subsequently commenced his legal practice in Troy, Ohio.
Career Williams began his political career by serving as a member of the Ohio State Senate from 1860 to 1862. He was elected as a Republican to the Forty-eighth Congress, serving from March 4, 1883, to March 3, 1885. He did not seek renomination for the subsequent term.
Later Life and Death Following his service in Congress, Williams resumed his legal practice. He died in Troy, Ohio, on December 1, 1904, at the age of 80. He was interred in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
