Eftali Ndreu

Eftali Ndreu (born 10 January 1955 in Tirana, Albania) is a classical cellist who began her musical career in Albania and later emigrated to Argentina, where she continues to be active in the Argentine cellist community.

Early life and education
Ndreu studied music at the Jordan Misja Artistic Lyceum in Tirana, participating in the institution’s organized activities. From 1973 to 1978 she pursued further studies at the Academy of Arts in Albania, completing a formal education in cello performance.

Career in Albania
Following her graduation, Ndreu served as a cello instructor at the Jordan Misja Lyceum, a position she held until 1990. During this period she performed in prominent Albanian venues, including the Union of Writers and Artists, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, and the Palace of Culture of Tirana. Her performances were also broadcast on Albanian Radio and Television.

Emigration to Argentina
In 1990 Ndreu and her family emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has since remained active in the local classical music scene, performing and contributing to the development of cello education in her adopted country. Ndreu acquired Argentine citizenship.

Legacy and recognition
Ndreu is noted for bridging Albanian and Argentine musical cultures, representing the Albanian diaspora in South America. Her career reflects a sustained commitment to classical performance and pedagogy across two continents.
