Dubovce
Dubovce is a village and municipality located in the Skalica District, within the Trnava Region of western Slovakia.
Geography
Dubovce is situated in the north-western part of the Trnava Region, in close proximity to the border with the Czech Republic. It lies approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of Skalica, the district seat. The village is nestled within the Myjava Hills (Myjavská pahorkatina), which forms part of the Western Carpathians, characterized by a rolling and agricultural landscape.
History
The first known written record mentioning the village of Dubovce dates back to 1392. Throughout its history, like many settlements in the region, Dubovce's development was influenced by agricultural activities and the broader socio-political changes affecting the Kingdom of Hungary and later Czechoslovakia.
Demographics
