Dušan Perniš (born 10 March 1984) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He has represented the Slovakia national team and has played for several clubs in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Cyprus.
Overview
Born in Nitra, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia), Perniš began his senior career with FC Nitra in 2001, where he made his professional debut in the Slovak Super Liga. After establishing himself as a first‑team regular, he moved abroad, initially joining Sparta Prague on loan in 2007, although he did not make a league appearance for the Czech side. In 2009, he signed for FC Viktoria Plzeň, where he spent six seasons and contributed to the club’s domestic successes, including league titles and cup victories. During his time with Plzeň, he also had a brief loan spell at ŠK Slovan Bratislava in 2010.
After leaving Plzeň, Perniš continued his career with Karmiotissa FC in the Cypriot First Division (2015–2016) and later returned to Slovakia, featuring for clubs such as FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce and MFK Zemplín Michalovce. Internationally, he earned six caps for the Slovakia national team between 2008 and 2010, participating in friendly matches and UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying fixtures.
