Drago Husjak

Drago Husjak (October 18, 1944 – December 30, 2005) was a prominent Croatian international football referee. Born in Varaždin, then part of Yugoslavia, Husjak became one of the most respected officials of his generation, recognized for his career at both domestic and international levels, culminating in his participation in the 1990 FIFA World Cup.

Early Life and Career Husjak began his refereeing career in the Yugoslav football system, rising through the ranks to officiate in the Yugoslav First League, the top tier of Yugoslav football. His consistent performance and adherence to the rules earned him a reputation for fairness and authority on the pitch.

International Career Drago Husjak became a FIFA-listed international referee in 1980, a status he held until 1992. During this period, he officiated numerous high-profile matches across Europe and globally:
