Dompierre was a former municipality located in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. Situated within the district of Broye, it was an independent administrative entity until January 1, 2005.
On this date, Dompierre merged with the neighboring municipalities of Font, Les Friques, and Praratoud to form the new municipality of Belmont-Broye. As a result, Dompierre no longer exists as a distinct political municipality but now constitutes a locality within Belmont-Broye. The area remains part of the Broye district in the canton of Fribourg. Its name, like many "Dompierre" place names, is often derived from "Dominus Petrus" (Saint Peter).
