Domino, Newfoundland and Labrador

Domino is a former settlement on the Island of Ponds in Labrador, within the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is located on the east side of a cove named Salmon Bight. What remains of the community has been absorbed into the neighbouring settlement of Black Tickle, which is situated on the west side of the same cove. The area is sometimes still referred to as Black Tickle–Domino.

Geography and Location Domino is situated at coordinates 53°27′59″N 55°46′33″W. The settlement lies off the southeastern coast of Labrador on the Island of Ponds. The time zone observed is UTC−3:30 (Newfoundland Standard Time), with daylight saving time at UTC−2:30 (Newfoundland Daylight Time).

Status Domino is classified as an abandoned settlement (ghost town). The former community has largely been absorbed into Black Tickle, a designated place that had a population of 87 in the 2021 Canadian census. The combined area is commonly referred to as Black Tickle–Domino.
