Dietmar Keck

Dietmar Keck (born December 16, 1957, in Loccum) is a German politician belonging to the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). He has served as a member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony, the state parliament of Lower Saxony, since 2017.

Biography Dietmar Keck was born in Loccum, which is now a district of Rehburg-Loccum in Lower Saxony. Prior to his political career, he was a long-serving police officer. During his time in the police force, Keck was actively involved in the Gewerkschaft der Polizei (GdP), the German police trade union, where he held various leadership positions and advocated for the rights and interests of police employees.

Political Career Keck joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and became active in local and regional politics. His political priorities include internal security, police policy, and social justice.

In the 2017 Lower Saxony state election, Keck successfully contested the Nienburg/Schaumburg electoral district (Wahlkreis 40) as the direct candidate for the SPD. He won the direct mandate, securing his entry into the Landtag of Lower Saxony. He was re-elected in the 2022 Lower Saxony state election, once again winning the direct mandate in his constituency.

As a member of the Landtag, Keck contributes to legislative work, particularly in committees related to internal affairs and social policy.
