Diego Albanese (born 21 May 1973) is an Argentine former rugby union player who primarily played as a wing. He was born in Rosario, Argentina. Albanese earned 39 caps for the Argentina national team, known as Los Pumas, between 1995 and 2003, scoring a total of 12 international tries. He represented Argentina in the 1995 and 1999 Rugby World Cups, contributing to the team's performances in both tournaments.
At the club level, Albanese played professionally in France, most notably for Stade Français Paris. His speed and finishing ability were regarded as key assets throughout his playing career. He retired from international rugby in 2003 and subsequently concluded his professional playing career in the mid‑2000s.
