Dejoannisia

Dejoannisia is a monotypic genus of moths in the family Crambidae, subfamily Schoenobiinae. The genus was established by Lajos Vári in 2002. It contains a single species, Dejoannisia pallidella, which was originally described by entomologist Joseph de Joannis in 1927 under the name Schoenobiodes pallidella.

Distribution

Dejoannisia pallidella is known from Mozambique in southeastern Africa. It is considered endemic to this region, with records primarily from the country's subtropical and tropical habitats.

The sole species has been synonymized as Schoenobiodes pallidella de Joannis, 1927.
