Deh Nesa-ye Sofla (Persian: ده نساسفلي, also Romanized as Deh Nesā-ye Soflá; also known as Deh Nesā-e Pā'īn) is a village in Darrehshur Rural District, Vardasht District, Semirom County, Isfahan Province, Iran.
Location
The village is located in central Iran, in the western part of Isfahan Province. Its coordinates are approximately 31°35′45″N 51°29′02″E.
Demographics
According to the Iranian national censuses:
- 2006: 123 people in 29 households
- 2011: 109 people in 35 households
- 2016: 127 people in 45 households
Administrative History
At the time of the 2006 census, Deh Nesa-ye Sofla was part of Vardasht Rural District within the Central District of Semirom County. By the 2016 census, Vardasht Rural District had been separated from the Central District to form the new Vardasht District, and the village was transferred to Darrehshur Rural District within that new district.
Etymology
The name "Deh Nesa-ye Sofla" is Persian in origin. Deh (ده) means "village," Nesā (نسا) is a proper name element, and Soflá (سفلی) means "lower" (from Arabic). The alternative name Deh Nesā-e Pā'īn (ده نسا پائین) also means "Lower Deh Nesa," distinguishing it from the nearby village Deh Nesa-ye Olya (Upper Deh Nesa).
