Davorko Vidović (born October 30, 1956) is a Croatian politician who has served in various capacities within the Croatian government and parliament. A long-standing figure in Croatian politics, he is known for his roles as a government minister and a member of the Croatian Parliament (Sabor).
Early Life and Education Davorko Vidović was born in Zagreb, then part of the Socialist Republic of Croatia, Yugoslavia. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb, specializing in political science.
Political Career Vidović's political career began within the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP), where he became a prominent member.
- Minister of Labour and Social Welfare (2000–2003): Vidović served as the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare in the left-coalition government led by Prime Minister Ivica Račan. During his tenure, he was involved in significant reforms concerning social welfare, employment policies, and labor rights following Croatia's transition from a post-socialist economy.
- Member of the Croatian Parliament: He has been elected to the Croatian Parliament (Sabor) for multiple terms, representing various constituencies. As an MP, he has participated in numerous parliamentary committees, contributing to legislative processes across different sectors, including social policy, labor, and European affairs.

- Founding Member of Socijaldemokrati: In 2021, following internal disagreements within the SDP, Vidović was one of the leading figures who departed from the party to establish a new political party called "Socijaldemokrati" (Social Democrats). This new party positioned itself as a continuation of social democratic principles, aiming to consolidate the social-democratic spectrum in Croatia. He has since continued his work as a Member of Parliament under the banner of the Socijaldemokrati.
