David Späth (born 29 April 2002 in Kaiserslautern, Germany) is a German professional handball player who plays as a goalkeeper for Rhein-Neckar Löwen in the Handball-Bundesliga and for the German national team.

Club Career Späth began playing handball at age six in his hometown of Kaiserslautern. He joined the under-19 team of Rhein-Neckar Löwen in 2018. Due to injuries to senior goalkeepers Andreas Palicka and Mikael Appelgren, he made 26 appearances in the 2020–21 Bundesliga season and also debuted internationally in the EHF European League. In November 2021, he suffered an ACL injury after colliding with a goal post, sidelining him for nearly a year. He returned in late 2022 and became the starting goalkeeper, playing a key role in winning the 2023 DHB-Pokal, where he saved three seven-meter throws in the final. He signed a contract extension in 2023 keeping him at the club until 2027, and later extended through 2029.
International Career Späth represented Germany at the 2021 European U-19 Championship, winning gold and being named to the All-Star Team as Best goalkeeper. He also won gold at the 2023 Junior World Championship, again earning All-Star honors. He debuted for the senior German national team in November 2023 against Egypt. He was selected for the 2024 European Men's Handball Championship, where Germany finished fourth, and for the 2026 European Men's Handball Championship, where Germany won silver medals after losing to Denmark in the final. He also won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
