David Rudisha

David Rudisha (born 17 December 1988) is a Kenyan former middle‑distance runner, specialist in the 800 metres. He is the current world record holder for the event, with a time of 1:40.91 set at the 2012 London Olympics, where he also won the gold medal. Rudisha is widely regarded as one of the greatest 800‑metre runners of all time.
