David Bates (born 5 October 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Belgian Pro League club Mechelen.
Bates began his youth career at Raith Rovers before a spell with English club Bristol City. He returned to Scotland to commence his senior career with Raith Rovers, where he made his professional debut.
