Darryl Watkins (born June 23, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player who played as a center. He is noted for his height of 7 ft 2 in (2.18 m) and his tenure in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and various international leagues.
Overview
Watkins attended the University of Louisville, where he played collegiate basketball for the Louisville Cardinals from 2002 to 2005. After declaring for the NBA draft, he was selected in the second round (45th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors. Watkins appeared in limited NBA action with the Warriors (2006–2007) and later with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2009–2010).
