Dante Rivera (born February 1, 1972) is an American former mixed martial artist and current mixed martial arts (MMA) coach. He competed professionally in the welterweight division from 2004 to 2012, most notably in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Rivera is also known for his role as a trainer and mentor at American Top Team, one of the United States' prominent MMA training facilities.
Early life and background
Rivera was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and began training in combat sports in his teenage years. He initially practiced wrestling before expanding his skill set to include Brazilian jiu‑jitsu, boxing, and Muay Thai.
Mixed martial arts career
