Danny Guijt (born 24 May 1989) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He spent his entire professional career in the Netherlands, primarily in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football.
Playing Career Guijt began his youth career with local clubs before joining the academies of ADO Den Haag, Feyenoord, and Excelsior. He returned to ADO Den Haag, where he made his professional debut in the Eredivisie during the 2007–08 season.
His professional career largely unfolded in the Eerste Divisie. He moved to SC Veendam, initially on loan in 2008, before making the move permanent. Over two seasons with Veendam, he established himself as a regular starter. In 2010, Guijt transferred to Cambuur, where he played for two seasons. He then had spells with Excelsior (2012–2013), FC Dordrecht (2013–2014), and RKC Waalwijk (2014–2015).
In 2015, Guijt moved to amateur club Quick Boys, where he became a key player and captain, concluding his playing career there in 2019. Throughout his career, Guijt was known for his strong defensive work rate, passing ability, and leadership qualities in midfield.
Post-Playing Career Following his retirement from professional football, Guijt pursued a career in financial services. He has also remained involved in football through coaching youth teams.
