Danny Blair

Danny Blair (born 29 October 1965) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is most notable for his significant tenure with Dunfermline Athletic in the 1980s and early 1990s.

Career

Blair began his professional career at Dunfermline Athletic, joining the club in 1985. Over the course of seven seasons, he became a key figure in the team's defence, making over 200 league appearances. During his time at East End Park, he experienced two promotions with the club: first, from the Scottish Second Division in the 1985–86 season, and then from the Scottish First Division in the 1988–89 season, which saw Dunfermline return to the top tier of Scottish football.

Known for his consistent performances and reliability at full-back, Blair played an integral role in Dunfermline's success during this period. After departing Dunfermline Athletic in 1992, he continued his career with other Scottish clubs, including Falkirk, Ayr United, and Clyde, before concluding his professional playing career in the mid-1990s.
