Daniella Tilbury is an academic and specialist in the field of sustainable development. She is recognized for her leadership in higher education and her contributions to international policy regarding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
Tilbury served as the inaugural Vice-Chancellor and CEO of the University of Gibraltar from 2015 to 2018. Following this tenure, she was appointed by the Government of Gibraltar as the Commissioner for Sustainable Development and Future Generations, a position focused on integrating sustainability into public policy and national strategy.
Her academic career includes positions at several international institutions. She has served as a professor at the University of Gloucestershire and is an Emeritus Fellow of Wolfson College, University of Cambridge. Tilbury’s research and publications primarily address organizational change, sustainability literacy, and the evaluation of environmental education programs.
