Daniel Boateng (born 2 September 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender. He is primarily known for his tenure at Arsenal Football Club and his subsequent career across various professional leagues in Europe.
Born in Enfield, London, Boateng joined the Arsenal academy at the age of eleven. He progressed through the club's youth and reserve ranks, eventually signing a professional contract in 2010. He made his senior debut for Arsenal on 25 October 2011, appearing as a substitute in a League Cup match against Bolton Wanderers. During his time under contract with Arsenal, Boateng was sent on loan to several clubs to gain competitive experience, including Swindon Town and Oxford United.
In early 2014, Boateng was loaned to the Scottish Premiership club Hibernian. Following the expiration of his contract with Arsenal in mid-2014, he moved abroad to continue his professional career. His subsequent club history includes stints with Södertälje FK in Sweden, Airdrieonians in Scotland, and Olimpia Grudziądz in Poland, as well as various non-league and lower-division European sides.
On the international level, Boateng represented England at the under-16 level. Due to his Ghanaian heritage, he has also been eligible to represent the Ghana national team.
