Crouy-sur-Cosson is a commune in the Loir-et-Cher department in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. Situated in the heart of the Loire Valley, the commune is primarily rural and known for its natural environment, particularly its association with the Cosson river.

Crouy-sur-Cosson is located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Blois, the departmental capital, and about 20 kilometers west of Orléans. The commune is traversed by the Cosson, a tributary of the Loire river, which lends its name to the village ("sur-Cosson" meaning "on the Cosson"). The landscape is characterized by forests, agricultural land, and the river valley. The territory of Crouy-sur-Cosson covers an area of 28.32 square kilometers (10.93 sq mi). It is part of the "Sologne viticole" (wine-growing Sologne) sub-region.
