Cristian Roldan

Cristian Roldan is an American professional soccer player who currently competes as a midfielder for Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer (MLS) and the United States men's national team.

Born on June 3, 1995, in Artesia, California, Roldan played collegiate soccer at the University of Washington. He was selected 16th overall by the Seattle Sounders in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. Since his debut, he has spent his entire professional career with the Seattle franchise, becoming a central figure in the team's midfield. During his tenure, the club has achieved significant success, including winning the MLS Cup in 2016 and 2019, as well as the CONCACAF Champions League in 2022.

At the international level, Roldan was eligible to represent the United States, Guatemala, or El Salvador due to his parents' heritage. He committed to the United States and made his senior debut in 2017. He has since represented the national team in various competitions, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup—winning the tournament in 2017 and 2021—and was a member of the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Roldan is recognized for his tactical versatility, having played as a defensive, central, and wide midfielder. He has consistently been noted for his work rate and durability within the league.
