Craig Laundy

Early life and education

Laundy was born in August 1971. He is the son of prominent Sydney hotelier [[Arthur Laundy]]. He attended [[St Patrick's College, Strathfield]] and subsequently earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the [[University of New South Wales]]. Political career

Laundy was elected to the House of Representatives at the [[2013 Australian federal election]], winning the seat of Reid from the [[Australian Labor Party]]. He was re-elected at the [[2016 Australian federal election]].

During his tenure in parliament, Laundy held several ministerial appointments within the [[Turnbull Government]] and [[Morrison Government]]:

Generally regarded as a moderate within the Liberal Party, Laundy announced in February 2019 that he would not seek re-election at the [[2019 Australian federal election]]. Post-political career

Following his departure from federal politics, Laundy returned to the private sector, rejoining his family's extensive hotel and hospitality business, Laundy Hotels.
