Courtney Greene (born February 26, 1986) is a former American football safety. He played college football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Early Life and College Career
Greene attended New Dorp High School on Staten Island, New York, where he excelled in football and track and field. He then committed to Rutgers University, playing for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team from 2005 to 2008. As a starting safety, Greene was a prominent defensive player known for his strong tackling and leadership abilities. He earned All-Big East honors during his collegiate career, contributing to several successful seasons for Rutgers, including multiple bowl game appearances.Professional Career
Greene was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round (65th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. He quickly secured a starting position as a strong safety for the Jaguars.
