Cosmo (Doug Clifford album)

Cosmo refers to the debut solo album by American musician Doug Clifford, best known as the drummer for the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). Although often colloquially referred to as "Cosmo" due to his nickname, the album's official title is Doug "Cosmo" Clifford.

Released in 1972 on Fantasy Records, the album was one of the first solo efforts by a CCR member following the band's initial dissolution in 1972. Clifford produced the album himself. It features a blend of rock and funk influences, showcasing Clifford's songwriting and vocal abilities in addition to his drumming.

The album includes contributions from other notable musicians, including CCR bassist Stu Cook on some tracks, as well as members of the horn section from the band Tower of Power. Doug "Cosmo" Clifford offered fans a glimpse into the musical direction of the former CCR members as they embarked on individual careers.
