Corner is an unincorporated community and census‑designated place (CDP) located in Jefferson County in the north‑central part of the U.S. state of Alabama. The community lies on the southern edge of the Birmingham metropolitan area and is situated at the intersection of U.S. Route 31 and State Route 119, approximately 15 mi (24 km) southeast of downtown Birmingham.

Geography
Corner occupies an area of roughly 4.5 square miles (11.6 km²), of which the vast majority is land with a small proportion of water bodies, primarily the nearby Cahaba River tributaries. The terrain is characterized by gently rolling hills typical of the Appalachian foothills, and the community sits at an elevation of about 620 feet (190 m) above sea level.
