Conestoga College

Conestoga College (officially Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning) is a publicly funded college of applied arts and technology located in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1967 as part of the Ontario system of colleges, it offers diploma, certificate, degree, and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields, including engineering technology, health sciences, business, information technology, skilled trades, and the arts.

History
Conestoga College was created under the Ontario Colleges Act of 1965, which aimed to expand access to post‑secondary education focused on occupational training. The institution opened its first campus in 1967 in the town of Kitchener (formerly known as Galt) and subsequently expanded to multiple sites across the Waterloo Region. In 2017 the college adopted the branding “Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning” to reflect its expanded degree‑granting capabilities.
