Colin Harburn

Colin Harburn (born 27 October 1947) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward. He spent his professional career in the Football League with Bradford City and Darlington during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Early Life and Career

Born on 27 October 1947, Colin Harburn began his football career as a youth. He joined Bradford City as a professional, making his debut for the club in the mid-1960s.

Professional Career

Bradford City

Harburn played for Bradford City from 1966 to 1971. During his time with the Bantams, he established himself as a reliable forward, making approximately 100 league appearances and scoring over 20 goals for the club in various Football League divisions.

Darlington

In July 1971, Harburn transferred to fellow Football League club Darlington. He continued to be a significant player for the Quakers, adding another roughly 100 league appearances and scoring more than 20 goals during his three seasons there.

Retirement

Harburn's professional playing career was regrettably cut short due to injury in 1974, leading to his retirement from the sport at the age of 26. Following his retirement from football, he reportedly pursued a career as a postman.
