Coki Ramírez (born Patricia Silvana Ramírez Ter Hart on February 6, 1980, in Córdoba, Argentina) is an Argentine singer, model, and actress.
Biography
Ramírez was born in the Barrio Urca neighborhood of Córdoba, Argentina. Her family is of German origin; she is the daughter of Juan Ramírez and Ana Ter Hart, and has two twin sisters, Gabriela and María Fernanda. Her nickname "Coki" originated from childhood play at her parents' deli, where she would build houses with Coca-Cola crates. She studied to become a dental prosthetist while pursuing a musical career.
Musical and Television Career
Her early performances were in Córdoba ballrooms singing songs in English. She later traveled to Chile, where she was invited by Chilean singer Alberto Plaza to accompany him on a Latin American tour as part of his chorus. She also collaborated with Ricardo Montaner, Julio Iglesias, Noel Schajris, Aleks Syntek, Valeria Lynch, Los Nocheros, and Fito Páez, among others.
In 2007, she released her first album, Presente.
Her rise to widespread fame began on August 3, 2010, when she appeared on the Argentine television show Bailando por un Sueño, hosted by Marcelo Tinelli. She subsequently became a regular participant on the show, reaching the semifinals in 2011. In 2011, she also appeared in the reality competition Soñando por Cantar.
In 2012, she released her second album, Se Puede, with proceeds benefiting the "Acercar" association, which supports children with disabilities. That same year, she appeared in the telenovela Dulce amor, playing the character "Cati."
Modeling
Before her music career took off, she worked as a model in Chile and other countries. In 2008, she launched her own sportswear brand called "351." She participated in numerous fashion events, including BAAM, Moda Show de Mar del Plata, and Santiago Fashion Look. In 2013, she was voted "La Chica del Verano" with 49.19% of the vote (509,171 votes).
