Clyde is a village in northern Alberta, Canada. It is located approximately 65–70 kilometres north of Edmonton and east of the town of Westlock, near the junction of Highway 18 and Highway 2. The village was incorporated on January 28, 1914, and was named after George D. Clyde, a local entrepreneur and the community's first postmaster. The community originated as a stopping place along the historic Athabasca Landing Trail, an old Indigenous and fur trade route.
As of the 2021 Canadian census, Clyde had a population of 415 living in 178 of its 197 total private dwellings, a decrease of 3.5% from its 2016 population of 430. The village has a land area of 1.28 km² (0.49 sq mi), giving it a population density of 324.2/km² (839.7/sq mi) in 2021.
Clyde is situated within Westlock County and falls under Census Division No. 13. The village is served by the Pembina Hills Public Schools division. Its elevation is approximately 650 metres (2,130 feet) above sea level.
