Cliff Morgan (born c. 1929; died 2015) was a Welsh professional footballer who primarily played as an inside-forward. He spent the majority of his career in the English Football League, most notably with Swansea Town, Newport County, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Career Morgan began his professional career with Swansea Town, making his debut in the late 1940s. He made over 50 league appearances for the club, contributing goals from midfield before moving to Newport County in 1953.
At Newport County, Morgan became a more prominent figure, known for his consistent performances and goal-scoring ability. He was a regular in the team throughout the mid-1950s, making over 100 league appearances for the Exiles and establishing himself as a key creative and attacking force.
In 1957, he transferred to Brighton & Hove Albion. His tenure there was shorter, but he continued to contribute to their league efforts before concluding his Football League career and moving into non-league football. Morgan was recognized for his intelligent play, vision, and capacity to score important goals.
