Claus Schromm (born 21 April 1969 in Munich, Germany) is a German association‑football coach. He is known for his work with SpVgg Unterhaching and later as head of youth development at FC Augsburg.
Early life and playing career
Schromm began his football involvement as a player with local clubs FC Deisenhofen and BSC Sendling in Munich. A serious injury to his left knee at the age of 24 ended his playing career after which he underwent multiple operations and rehabilitation, subsequently turning to coaching.

Schromm was first appointed as senior team manager of SpVgg Unterhaching in 2012. After a brief stint as sport director in early 2014, he returned to the head‑coach role on 26 March 2015, succeeding Christian Ziege. He remained in that position until July 2020, when he stepped down and was succeeded by a successor appointed by the club.
Later roles
Since August 2021 Schromm has served as the chief youth coach at FC Augsburg, overseeing development programs for the U23 and U19 squads. He also holds a UEFA Pro Licence, qualifying him to manage at the highest levels of European football.
Personal life
Schromm was born in Munich and holds German citizenship. Details about his private life are not widely publicised.
