Citroën C1 ev'ie

The Citroën C1 ev'ie is a concept electric vehicle derived from the Citroën C1 city car. It was unveiled by the French automaker Citroën in 2009 as a demonstrator of electric propulsion for compact urban vehicles. The concept was presented as part of Citroën’s exploration of low‑emission mobility solutions and was intended to illustrate the potential for electric powertrains in the car‑sharing and city‑use markets.

The ev'ie prototype incorporated a battery‑electric drivetrain in place of the conventional internal‑combustion engine used in the production C1. While the vehicle’s exterior retained the compact dimensions and styling cues of the standard C1, the powertrain was reconfigured to accommodate a battery pack and electric motor. Specific technical specifications—such as battery capacity, electric range, top speed, and charging characteristics—have not been widely disclosed in publicly available sources.

The Citroën C1 ev'ie remained a concept and did not proceed to mass production. It contributed to Citroën’s broader research and development activities on electric mobility and informed later production models that employed electric or hybrid technologies.
