Chris Ward, often nicknamed "Wardo," is a professional surfer from South Africa. Known for his radical and innovative aerial maneuvers, Ward rose to prominence in the early 2000s. He was a regular competitor on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour, earning a reputation for his unpredictable style and aggressive approach to waves. While he never won a world title, Ward's surfing influenced a generation of surfers and helped push the boundaries of what was possible in aerial surfing. He is considered a freesurfer, often participating in surf trips and producing video parts showcasing his skills. In addition to competitive surfing and freesurfing, Ward has also been involved in surfboard design and development.
