Chris Dercon (born 1961) is a Belgian curator, writer, and museum director known for his leadership roles in several major contemporary art institutions.

Dercon was born in Belgium. He studied psychology at the University of Leuven and later pursued art history and theory, earning a Ph.D. with a dissertation on the relationship between contemporary art and public space.
