Etymology
The name "Chenar" (چنار) in Persian refers to the plane tree (Platanus orientalis), a species that is widespread and culturally significant across Iran. "Shureh" (شوره) can translate to "saline," "brackish," or describe efflorescence—a white, powdery mineral deposit often found on surfaces in arid or semi-arid environments. Thus, the name "Chenar Shureh" could be interpreted as "Saline Plane Tree" or a plane tree located in an area characterized by saline soil or mineral deposits.
