Chen Zhizhao (Chinese: 陈智照; born 23 June 1985) is a Chinese former professional basketball player. He primarily played the point guard position and was recognized for his playmaking abilities and leadership on the court. Chen spent the majority of his career in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), most notably with the Shanghai Sharks.
Early Life and Education
Chen was born in Shanghai, China. He developed an interest in basketball during his youth and participated in local youth leagues. He attended the Shanghai University of Sport, where he continued to hone his basketball skills before turning professional.
