Chalermkwansatree School

Chalermkwansatree School (CHS; Thai: โรงเรียนเฉลิมขวัญสตรี) is a public secondary school located in Phitsanulok, Thailand. It is situated in the city centre near Wat Ratchaburana and is operated by the Office of the Basic Education Commission (Educational Service Area 39). It is the only school in Phitsanulok province that provides exclusive education for female students at the lower secondary level.

History

The school was founded on November 8, 1923, as the School for Girls of Monthon Phitsanulok (Thai: โรงเรียนสตรีประจำมณฑลพิษณุโลก). It initially offered education from kindergarten through teacher training. By 1943, the kindergarten, primary, and teacher training programs were phased out, and the school transitioned to its current focus.

Academics

Today, the school offers education for grades 7 to 12 (Matthayom 1–6) with a total of 81 classrooms. It is a girls' school for grades 7–9 (lower secondary) and becomes coeducational for grades 10–12 (upper secondary). As of 2024, the school had an enrollment of 3,090 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of 20.74.
