Causeway Point

Definition
Causeway Point is a mixed‑use shopping mall and commercial complex located in Woodlands, Singapore. It serves as a retail, dining, and entertainment hub for residents of the northern region of Singapore and visitors transiting via the Malaysia–Singapore Causeway.

Overview
The mall is situated at 1 Woodlands Square, adjacent to Woodlands MRT station, Woodlands Bus Interchange, and the Singapore–Malaysia Causeway. Developed by City Developments Limited (CDL) in partnership with Frasers Property (formerly Frasers Centrepoint), Causeway Point opened to the public in October 2011 following a major redevelopment of the former Woodlands Town Centre. Managed by Frasers Property, the mall occupies approximately 530,000 sq ft (≈49,250 m²) of gross floor area across four retail levels. It is linked to residential towers and office spaces, forming an integrated community precinct.

Etymology / Origin
The name “Causeway Point” reflects the mall’s geographical proximity to the Malaysia–Singapore Causeway and its function as a focal point for commercial activity in the northernmost part of Singapore. “Causeway” denotes the bridge‑like structure connecting the two countries, while “Point” suggests a central gathering place.
