Cathy Silvers is an American actress and author, best known for her role as Jenny Piccalo on the television sitcom Happy Days. Born on May 27, 1961, in New York City, she is the daughter of the comedic actor Phil Silvers and Evelyn Patrick.
Silvers joined the cast of Happy Days in 1980 during its eighth season, portraying the best friend of Joanie Cunningham. Originally an off-screen character mentioned in earlier seasons, the character of Jenny Piccalo became a series regular under Silvers' portrayal until the show concluded in 1984. Following her tenure on Happy Days, Silvers appeared in the short-lived sitcom Foley Square (1985–1986) and provided voice acting for the animated series Gravedale High (1990).
In addition to her acting career, Silvers has been active as an author and health advocate. She authored the book Happy Days, Healthy Living (2007), which discusses her transition to a plant-based, raw food diet and offers lifestyle advice. She has also made various guest appearances on television programs and in films, including a cameo in the 1996 film adaptation of Sgt. Bilko, a tribute to the character made famous by her father.
