Cascajal is a district of the Vázquez de Coronado canton, in the San José province of Costa Rica.
Overview
Cascajal is the fifth administrative district of the Vázquez de Coronado canton, located in the central highlands of Costa Rica. It forms part of the Greater Metropolitan Area, though it maintains a predominantly rural and mountainous character.
History
The district was created on 30 November 1988 by Executive Agreement 429 (Acuerdo Ejecutivo 429).
Geography
