Carrer de Tarragona is a street in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is a long avenue lined with high-rise buildings that serves as the border between the Hostafrancs neighborhood (in the district of Sants-Montjuïc) and the Eixample district. The street runs from Plaça d'Espanya toward Plaça dels Països Catalans, the location of the Barcelona Sants railway station. The Parc de Joan Miró, which contains Joan Miró's sculpture Dona i Ocell (Woman and Bird), is situated along one side of the road.
The street is named after the city of Tarragona, the capital of the province of Tarragona in Catalonia. The current name was officially approved in 1900. Originally, the urban planner Ildefons Cerdà had intended to call it "Núm. 12" as part of his numerical naming system for the Eixample district.
Transport: The Barcelona Metro has a station named Tarragona located on the street. The Sants Estació metro station is also nearby, at the opposite end of the street.
