Capelense Sport Clube (commonly known as Capelense SC or simply Capelense) is a Portuguese football club based in Capelas, a parish on the island of São Miguel in the Azores archipelago.

History
Founded in 1922, Capelense SC is one of the older football clubs in the Azores. The club currently plays in the AF Ponta Delgada 1ª Divisão, also known as the Campeonato de S. Miguel, which constitutes the fifth tier of the Portuguese football league system.
The club's home matches are played at the Campo Municipal Jâcome Correia in Ponta Delgada, which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The club's original home ground on the seafront at Capelas is under development, with part of the existing structure left in a derelict condition following a reorientation of the stadium layout.
Capelense has also participated in the Taça de Portugal (the national cup competition) on several occasions.
League History
The club has moved between the district level (AF Ponta Delgada divisions) and the national Terceira Divisão (third division, tier 4) over the decades. Notable seasons include:
- 2003–04: Won the AF Ponta Delgada 1ª Divisão and earned promotion to the Terceira Divisão.
- 2006–07: Again won the AF Ponta Delgada 1ª Divisão and returned to the Terceira Divisão.
- The club competed in the Terceira Divisão (Série Açores) from 2004–05 through 2010–11, before being relegated back to the district level.
