Canton of Olette

The Canton of Olette was a former administrative division (canton) of the Pyrénées‑Orientales department in the former Languedoc‑Roussillon region of southern France. Its administrative seat was the commune of Olette.

The canton existed until the nationwide French canton reorganisation that took effect in March 2015, at which point it was dissolved and its communes were incorporated into the newly created canton of Les Pyrénées catalanes.

Historical context
The canton was part of the arrondissement of Prades. Its creation and boundaries reflected the traditional administrative organization of France, which grouped rural communes for purposes of local governance, elections, and judicial administration. The 2015 reform aimed to reduce the number of cantons and balance populations more evenly across the new units.
