  • It functioned as an electoral district for the election of councilors to the departmental council of Corrèze.
  • As part of the nationwide canton reorganisation (décret n° 2014‑228 of 24 February 2014), the canton of Allassac was disbanded and its communes were incorporated into new cantonal structures that took effect in March 2015.
