Caner Topaloğlu (born July 17, 1985) is a Turkish former professional basketball player. Standing at 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in) tall, he primarily played the shooting guard position throughout his career.
Biography
Topaloğlu began his professional basketball career with Darüşşafaka in 2000. He spent several years with the club before moving to Fenerbahçe for the 2005–2006 season. He returned to Darüşşafaka briefly before joining Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi and then Erdemirspor.His most notable period came with Beşiktaş, where he played from 2010 to 2014. During the 2011–2012 season, Topaloğlu was an integral part of the Beşiktaş team that achieved a historic treble, winning the Turkish Basketball Super League championship, the Turkish Cup, and the FIBA EuroChallenge. This period marked the peak of his professional playing career.
Following his successful tenure with Beşiktaş, Topaloğlu continued to play for various clubs in the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL) and lower divisions, including Royal Halı Gaziantep, Uşak Sportif, and TED Ankara Kolejliler. He concluded his playing career around 2022 and has since transitioned into coaching, notably working with youth teams at Bursaspor.
