Candara

Candara is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Gary Munch of Ascender Corporation (now Monotype) and released by Microsoft in 2007. It is one of the ClearType Font Collection, a group of fonts designed to render well on computer screens using Microsoft's ClearType rendering technology. Candara is characterized by its subtle curves, flared stems, and dynamic appearance, giving it a more calligraphic feel than many other sans-serif typefaces.

It is available as part of Microsoft Windows Vista and later versions, as well as Microsoft Office 2007 and later. The font supports a wide range of languages utilizing the Latin script.

Candara aims for a modern and elegant appearance while remaining legible on screen. Its design features include distinctive letterforms, such as the angled terminals on the 'a' and 's', and a generally open and airy structure. These characteristics contribute to its readability and overall visual appeal. Candara is often used for body text, headings, and user interfaces.
